I thought the same as a few others in the comments, the tray is a relish dish. It had little glass jars with silver tops and a little hole for a tiny spoon for your relish, pickles or other condiments. My mother in law had one. She actually had relish in and I think the other had tiny pickles in the other jar. So cute.

Ohhhh Donna, you’ve done a fantastic display of Christmas in July👏👏👏 I love all of them!!! HINT-on the resale sticker, put your blow dryer to it before you even try to take it off. It heats the glue and will come off easily and with no residue. I’ve even done it with brand new purchase stickers. I’ve never had a problem! 🥰❤️😀

I saw a crafter recently who made copies of the children’s book pages so she didn’t have to use the original. It worked out perfectly!

My mom had several dishes like this .. they all had glass dishes to set inside. One was a divided dish - mom used it for pickles. And the other wasn’t divided and she used it to hold butter .. I remember these dishes came out whenever we had company and on all of the holidays. Great projects by the way ! Ruth Ontario, Canada

Hi Donna, the tray may have belong on a mirrored tray for a dresser to hold perfume. I had an old Italian set very similar. Back to the video.

That oval, silver tray may have held the sugar bowl and creamer of a tea set. A tray can catch the drips and spills so was quite commonly used.

It’s from a liquid hand soap and moisturizer set.
